House. Mid to late C18, refronted early C19, extended late C19. Tuck
pointed plum stock brick facades with earlier and later red brick.
Hipped tiled roofs. 3 x 3 bay L shaped corner block with an extension in
inner angle to form a square. 2 storeys. Elevation to High Street has
central entrance blocked. Ground floor: centre and right recessed
glazing bar sashes with cambered white brick heads, to left a large 3
light ovolo moulded casement shop window, recessed with a cambered red
brick head. First floor 3:6 pane sashes flank a blind opening all
recessed with cambered white brick heads. Oversailing courses to close
eaves. Left return has a central entrance, recessed door with 2 glazed
and 4 raised panels, panelled reveal, architrave with brackets to
dentilled pedimental hood. Flanking glazing bar sashes, first floor as
to front. Second entrance to far left, recessed panelled door, bracketed
moulded hood. Central on slightly lower ridge of left return wing is a
red brick stack. To rear a later C19 addition with a lower separate
hipped roof. To rear a first floor opening with a gauged brick flat
arched head, kneelers to partial brick parapet, truncated external
stack. Right return from High Street is red brick, ground floor 2 light
casement. C19 extruded stack. To rear left is a long 1 storey C19
outbuilding, red brick, flint and weatherboarding, slate and corrugated
asbestos roof.
