House. Mid to late C17, cased, altered and extended early to mid C19.
Timber frame probable. White brick cased and part stuccoed. Steeply
pitched slate roof. 3 bays with 2 narrower bays added to right. 2
storeys. Originally central entrance: 6 panelled door in panelled
reveals, doorcase with panelled architrave, moulded flat hood. Flanking
and first floor flush frame glazing bar sashes, panelled architraves
with roundels at upper angles. Close eaves. Cross axial ridge stack to
right of entrance. To right 2 small C19 bays have a former shop window
on ground floor, 24 panes with panelled architrave, coved hood. First
floor recessed glazing bar sash with a cambered head and a blind
opening. Left gable end is cased in white brick with a ground floor 16
pane recessed sash. A C19 low 2 storey wing extends to rear left,
recessed casements, rear end stack. Tiled roof. White brick to rear of
main block with chamfered jambs to openings. Interior: stop chamfered
axial and cross axial bearers.
