House. Circa 1600, extended and altered C19 and C20. Timber frame on brick
base, rendered. Thatched roof. 3 cells, L on plan with a short cross
wing to right. Originally probably a lobby entry. 2 storeys. Entrance in
C20 lean-to projection to centre with casement windows. Left bay has
ground floor French window and a first floor horizontal sliding sash.
Original multiform ridge stack between centre and left bays. To right of
entrance are 2 and 3 light casements. Cross wing projecting to right
with ground floor C20 2 light casements, steep gable with exposed C19
plates and purlins. Right return has an C18 or C19 external stack with
offsets, hip to rear. Roof swept down over C18 or C19 lean-to outshut on
hipped left end, C20 canted bay window. To rear left a catslide roof
over a weatherboarded lean-to outshut. To rear right are 3 and 4 light
casements, a 3 light dormer and an entrance. Interior: exposed framing
with close studding, ogee stop chamfered axial bearer and posts.
