TL 43 SW (East side)

6/136 Bury Farm Cottage


House. Late C17 and C18 in 2 builds, extended C20. Timber frame on
brick base. Weatherboarded. Steeply pitched thatched roof. 3 bays
forming an L on plan, later bay and lobby entrance to rear. 1 storey and
attic. To front 3 small flush frame 2 light casements. Small ridge stack
near hipped angle to right return with 2 horizontal sliding sashes. To
left a C20 addition with an entrance in a link to a 2 storey rendered
block, square with a hipped. roof. Interior: some exposed framing,
altered, jowled posts, chamfered bearers, clasped purlin roof. Included
for group value.
