House. C17 or earlier. Timber frame, exposed on 1st floor of front of E
wing, roughcast elsewhere. Red brick casing to rear end of E wing. Steep
old red tile roofs. An L-plan house facing S with 1 1/2-storeys N range and
2-storeys E crosswing projecting to front with internal rear gable
chimney. Internal-chimney, lobby-entry plan N range. Flush casement
windows. Close studding between jowled posts with straight tension
braces on upper part of crosswing.
