House sometime a public house. Late C17, later alterations. Front timber
frame on chequered brick red and black sill, roughcast with plain
margins. Other walls possibly brick from the beginning. Steep old red
tile roofs. A 2-storeys, 3 windows wide house on aslope above the road
facing S, with single-storey wings at each end in-line. Internal gable
chimneys at E and W of main house, and entrance a third from E gable. S
front has flush 3-lights leaded casement windows, gabled porch, and deep
coved plaster eaves cornice. E room has open fireplace and original spit.
