TL 12 SE KINGS WALDEN LEY GREEN

4/25 The Cottage

House. Early C18. Timber frame roughcast, brick cased at S end. Very
steep old red tile roof. A small 2-storeys and attics, 2-cells,
end-chimneys, central entrance plan house, facing W. C20 lean-to
extension to N end. Originally only the S rooms were heated. W front has
stucco plinth, red brick casing to ground floor chequered with black
bricks, roughcast upper parts. 2 gabled dormers on roofslope with
2-lights casements. 2 casement windows of 2- and 3-lights on each floor,
and central entrance. Large projecting external S gable chimney
original. C19 internal N gable chimney.
