Hall Farm

GV II

Barn. Late C17 or early C18. Timber frame on brick sill, dark
weatherboarded with steep pitched roof now slated. A tall 5-bays barn
facing N with projecting gabled porch to middle bay. Unjowled posts,
mid-height rail jointed in-line, long straight tension braces above
rail. Long straight braces to tie-beams. Clasped purlin roof with 2
purlins to each slope, the upper on a high collar, the lower on heavy
inclined queen-posts.
