2 semi-detached houses, now one. 'JBW 1905' on plaster plaque for
John Barrington White of Temple Dinsley. Estate houses, one for constable
with lock-up in attached outhouse to rear SE. Red brick tall plinth in
stretcher bond, roughcast above, dark weatherboarded triangle of front
gable. Steep old red tile roofs. A symmetrical 2-storeys and attics
design with high central gable to front the 1st floor jettied with a
prominent elm drip-board about its overhang, and boarded gable
projecting a little in front and further at sides. Catslide continuation
of roof at slightly steeper pitch to coved eaves to side outshut each
side with entrances. Low single-storey wing projects from rear part of
each side and has a gable chimney with corbelled top. Large central
stack with 6 flues. 2 small casement attic windows in gable. 2-1
casements to 1st floor with eared framed plaster plaque between with
plain margins. 2 cross windows with small panes. 2 segmental hooded
stair windows to each side. Good moulded plank doors throughout. Flat
hood on long shaped brackets to front doors. Included for group value.
