12/171 No. 18 (Well House)

GV II

2 staff houses for No. 16 (q.v.), now one house. Circa 1815. Red brick
with pyramidal slate roof and plastered eaves soffit. A square
2-storeys, 2 windows wide block with shared large rectangular central
chimney stack and reserved-chamfered corners all round the house. Side
entrance on N in use with wood porch, on S converted to window.
Symmetrical E front has plat band and flat red rubbed arches. Sash
windows with 8/8 panes (renewed) and original canted iron decorative
railings to 1st floor windows.
