2 staff houses for No. 16 (q.v.), now 2 private houses. Circa 1815. Red
brick with pyramidal slate roof and plastered eaves soffit. A square
2-storeys 2 windows wide block with shared large rectangular central
chimney stack and reserved-chamfered corners all round the house. Side
entrances with flat gauged arches and 3 stone steps on downhill side.
Symmetrical E front has plat band and flat rubbed arches. Original sash
windows replaced by recessed aluminium windows but original canted iron
decorative railings to 1st floor retained. One of a pair of contemporary
blocks built to house the staff for Trafalgar Cottage (No. 16).
