on roadside to E of
gateway to The

GV II

Well and wellhouse. C18, well probably older. Red brick in Flemish-bond,
roof smoothered in creeper but steep pitch. for tile. A small square
building on roadside opposite church. Ridge runs N-S. Entrance by
boarded door in heavy frame on W side near S corner. Painted notice on
door prohibiting use of water for drinking purposes.
