House. C16 or early C17, renovated in 1980s. Timber frame on brick sill,
frame exposed with plaster panels, ground floor partly of red brick.
Steep old red tile roofs. A T-plan house of 2-storeys, set back from
road, facing W, with 3-bays S gabled crosswing and entrance by hipped
roofed brick porch in the angle and in line with a large internal
chimney. Flush casement windows (renewed) with 2-lights window to each
floor of wing on RH and 3-lights window to main range with gable over
upper window. Framing of wing shows jowled posts, mid-height rail, and
clasped-purlin roof on a collar. Lobby entrance plan. Interior has
exposed timbers.
