Outbuilding of former Ickleford Manor, now a house. C17, renovated in
1980s. Timber frame exposed on E gable, front roughcast, and steep old
red tile roof. A 3-cells, 1 1/2-storeys building on S side of courtyard
facing N adjoining taller building to W now The Old Manor. Reconstructed
single-storey wing to E not of special interest. Internal chimney a
third from E end, and enclosed gabled porch a third from W. 4 gabled
dormer windows to eaves and 3 casement windows to ground floor. Framing
in E gable has jowled posts, mid-height rail, tie-beam and purlin ends
of clasped-purlin roof structure. Part of a picturesque courtyard group.
