House. Early C17, brick casing and E wing C18 (said to have been
renovated 1735). Timber frame, largely replaced in red brick, steep old
red tiled roofs. A large 2-storey, attics and cellar house facing S onto
a cobbled yard, with 2 short end wings, full height at E, of 1 1/2-storeys
at W, half-hipped. Main house has 4 flush box sash windows with 6/6 panes
to 1st floor, 2 box dormers on roofslope, triple-sashes to ground floor,
and central entrance with 2 moulded stone steps and doorcase with
dentilled triangular pediment. E gable chimney, rear-wall chimney to W
part, internal E gable chimney to parlour extension at E. W wing is a
C17 kitchen with narrow bricks in English-bond, chamfered plinth, timber
framing in E gable, large rear-wall chimney and projecting oven to rear.
