and No. 6 (The Pond Cottage)

House and extension, now 2 houses. C17, brick fronted in early C18,
early C19 S extension. Timber frame exposed only at rear, dark red brick
chequered with black headers and lighter red dressings. Segmental arches
with alternate blue and red bricks. Steep pitched roofs now of slate.
Wood modillioned eaves cornice with moulded brick corbels at corners. A
2-storeys, 3 windows long front range facing E with 1 1/2-storeys rear wing
and one window, 2-storeys S extension set back a little. E front has
plat band 3 2-lights casement windows to 1st floor and entrance a little
to the left of the middle window. On ground floor N window blocked and S
window replaced by a flat arch and garage door. Large internal chimney a
third from N end. 2-light windows to 1st floor of S extension, recessed
sash window with 8/8 panes and flat gauged arch to left of door.
4-panels flush bead door. Main door 6 fielded panels and moulded flat
hood.
