House and stable. Circa 1700, C18 brick casing to stable, rear block and
upper floor of kitchen wing mid C19. Red brick, house roughcast at
front, stable timber frame, showing only in W gable. Steep roofs, red
tile to house, slates to stable. A 2 storeys and attics house facing S,
with rear kitchen wing at NE and central staircase between hall and
parlour in the front range. Attic stair in wing. Taller C19 block in
rear angle with 2 gables, one with corner fireplace probably Farm
Office. S front has plat band, 3 gabled dormers on roofslope with
2-lights casements. 5 cross-windows to 1st floor and similar to ground
floor. Tiled gabled timber porch with red dressings in plum brickwork
preserved inside. Large square internal gable chimneys. 1 1/2-storeys
stable block facing S with rear outshut and brick mounting block in
front. 2 stable doors and double doors with boarding over. Wide passage
next house giving access to side door. Interior of house, the main
staircase rises only to 1st floor, 3 turned balusters to each tread of
the cut string stair with outswept foot. 2-panel doors on 1st floor with
IL hinges. Attic stair in wing has serpentine splat balusters. (RCHM
