Barn, now a party room. C17, renovated in later C20. Timber frame on red
brick sill, frame exposed and infilled with red brick. Steep old red
tile roof carried down over rear aisle. A tall 4-bays barn facing E into
yard behind house. Casement windows and glazed doors. Steps down into
interior. Jowled posts and mid-height rail jointed in-line. Long
straight tension braces. Curved braces to arcade plate to rear aisle.
Long curved braces to tie-beams supporting clasped-purlin roof with 2
purlins to each slope. High collars support upper purlin: inclined
queen-posts support lower purlin. Aisle tie-beams support inclined
queen-posts to aisle purlin.
