Farmhouse. C16, hall range remodelled in C17, C18 brick casing, C19
renovation and rear extension. Timber frame roughcast, ground floor
cased in red brick, steep old red tile roofs. A 2-storeys and cellar,
T-plan house, set back from road, facing E, with gabled N crosswing
jettied to front. Lobby entrance central by very large internal chimney
with gabled projecting stair tower to rear. Rear outshut with C19
extension to rear of stair tower. W front has 3 windows to each floor
and rampant lion plaque of Sowerby Estate. 2-light flush casement
windows. Attached shafts to large central chimney. Dark weatherboarded
gable triangle to crosswing.
