Barn. C16. Timber frame on tarred brick sill, dark weatherboarded with
steep pitched roof now of corrugated iron. A tall 5-bays barn facing S
with double doors in the S side of middle bay, and lean-to outshut to N
in same bay. Jowled posts, unjowled mid-bay posts, mid-height rail
jointed in-line, straight tension braces, central post to each gable
with straight tension braces, long straight braces to tie-beams,
clasped-purlin roof with collars and long straight inclined queen-struts
in the trusses. Front wall has re-used timbers without jowls.
Edge-halved scarf joint with bridled butts in N wallplate.
