House. C17/C18, late C19 S wing, N extension c.1970. Roughcast, yellow
brick S wing, steep pitched slate roofs. A 2-storeys, 2-cells house, set
back from road, facing W, with higher 2-storeys parlour wing on S. This
has a single-storey former bakehouse attached on S and gabled W porch at
junction with older part. A 3-lights casement window to 1st floor of
each part. Bow oriel window inserted in ground floor of parlour wing
which has a projecting S gable chimney, older wing has internal chimney
rebuilt in red brick. Axial beam and squared joists. Said to have been a
coaching inn mentioned as The Live and Let Live, then a pub up to c.1774.
