2 storey building with arcaded ground floor broken forward twice to
connect with School Hall block. Flint, with red brick quoins and
parapet concealing roof, stone ground floor arcades. Mullioned windows
with square hoodmoulds. Of mid C20 date but style in keeping with older
building.

The Abbey Gate and St Albans School building form a group.
