Barn. Probably late C17; later alterations. Timber frame with weatherboard
cladding on brick plinth; plain tile roof. 6 bays. 2 gabled midstrays on
south-east side, that on right having doors replaced by weatherboard and windows. On
north-west side, one opposing cart entry infilled. Large C20 sliding door to
north-east gable. Interior: impressive large-scantling framing with jowelled and
unjowelled wall-posts arch-braced to tie-beams which support queen struts; clasped
purlins, old rafters, no ridge-piece, straight wind-braces. Wall-framing has
mid-rail, arched braces, wide-spaced studs.
