GV II

House. Early C19. Roughcast on brick, the interior with timber
frame walling. Slate hipped roof behind parapet. 2 storeys and
attic over cellar. The front has 2-storeyed bow windows either
side of a narrow central bay. Arch-headed doorway with a 3-light
fan. Arched stair window above with glazing bar casement. The
bow windows were formerly both 3 windows, but right one has a
square extension of the late C19. Left bow has 3 ground floor
French casements; upper floor with 2-light casements. Upper
windows on both sides have rectangular top lights, 4 of them
retaining original segmental-shaped panes. W elevation has a
shallow pedimented centre with ground floor Venetian window and
1st floor therm window. 2 large chimney stacks with battered
bases. Interior retains central staircase.
