Garden Wall, gateposts and gates enclosing front Garden at Harpenden Hall.

Garden walls, gateposts and gates. Late C17. The wall encloses
the front garden at Harpenden Hall and is contemporary with the S
part of the house. Red brick. Continuous plinth. On S side it
has stepped profile and original battered coping. It curves up
to meet gates on left front. The gate piers are rubbed brick and
cut with chamfered rustication. Moulded brick cornices. Stone
ball finials. Plain piers either side with simple scrolls on
top. Wrought iron single gate flanked by narrow screens.
Scrolled work with foliage detail. C19 overthrow and lamp holder.
