Public House. Mid C16; possibly an earlier core. Timber frame.
Plastered walls; exposed framing to E gable end. Steep pitched
plain tile roof. Canted plan of 3: 1 glazing bar casements. 2
storeys. Left ground floor has large and small canted sash
window bays, c.1900, with fluted pilasters and moulded cornices.
Door on left. C17-18 external stack to E wall, the exposed
framing close studded in 2 floors, but a projecting collar purlin
suggests earlier roof within. To rear is a tall 2-storey range,
probably c.1800, one part gable-end, the other part hipped.
