Public House. Probably C17. Timber frame. 1832 brick front,
now painted. Circa 1900 alterations and slate roof. 2 storeys.
3 wide segmental-headed windows to ground floor. Originally 2
arched doors, the right one blocked. Left door with porch hood.
Recessed sash windows to 1st floor, the outer ones under mock
timbered gablets. 2 red brick chimney stacks on front ridge,
both probably of early origin. Interior is 3 bays on lobby
entrance plan. Exposed chamfered beams.
