House. Built c.1500 as a small Wealden house, extended at rear
c.1700. Front converted to shop in early-mid C19. Roughcast on
timber frame. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attics. 2 flush
sash windows with vertical glazing bars. Door with simple wood
frame and shaped bracket hood. Shop window with pilaster frame.
Circa 1600 red brick stack on S gable end with 2 square shafts.
N gable end has a shallow 2-storey lean-to addition, probably
C19. 2 projecting gable ends at rear have exposed thin framing.
1st floor to Waterend Lane has a good c.1700 wooden cross bar
casement with original metal frames and square leading. The room
behind retains bolection moulded panelling.
