House pair and shop. C16 or earlier timber frame range, altered
in late C17. Refronted early and late Cl9. Late C19 shop
extension on N. Painted brick. Plain tile roof. 5-window
frontage. 2 windows on left are early C19. Dentilled brick
eaves; sashes with flat gauged lintels. Right 2 windows are
late C19; sashes in segmental heads. Wide double door in
centre. Shop on N with slate roof and stucco lintels. Recessed
curved brick angle. 3-window return elevation. to Fish Street.
Interior of No 16 has a C16 cross wing on N with moulded
floorbeam. 2 bays to S are late C17 construction. Rear elevation
shows heavy early framing.
