9/218 Hogg End Farmhouse


Farmhouse. Late C16 with a larger mid-C17 wing on right. Timber
frame, the wing with exposed framing and plaster, the earlier
section with C20 red brick casing. Plain tile roof. T plan.
Garden elevation has 2 bays either side of half bay centre. Good
central ridge chimney stack with 6 diagonal-set shafts on a
dentilled brick base. 6 original window spaces still visible.
C19 glazing bar casement. The earlier section has C20 casements.
Internally it has 2 bays with clasped purlin roof and curved wind
braces. Further single storey late-C17 barn on left end.
