9/249 Appspond Cottage

GV II

Cottage. 1788 (dated brick). Red brick ground floor, roughcast
upper floor. Plain tile gable end roof with internal stack on
left end. 2 storeys. 2 C20 glazing bar casements. On right is
original wide plank door with glazed pane and a heavy oak frame.
Rear has twin gable ends of late C18/early C19. Interior ground
floor is cased with early-mid C17 oak panelling,probably brought
from Old Gorhambury when it became disused in the 1780s.
