GV II


House. Early to mid C17, cased and extended early to mid C18, extended
and altered in C19. Timber frame, red brick walls, extended in stock
brick. Tiled roofs. Probably 3-bay core with many additions. Small 2
light casements with early leaded panes. Large C17 external end stack to
left with offsets. Exposed post to left end. To right a gable to front
over C19 addition: 2 ground floor 3-light casements with iron glazing
bars, cambered heads, first floor 2-light window with decorative leaded
panes. Cusped bargeboard. Right return: 2 ground floor windows,
bargeboarded gable. Dentilled brick eaves to rear. Attached to rear left
a 2-storey C18 red brick block, end stack to rear. To rear right a low 1
bay timber framed gabled wing extends with entrance to farmyard at rear.
Interior: jowled posts to cambered tie beams. Queen post roof. Ground
floor stop chamfered binding beam.
