Two blocks, formerly 3 houses and 2 houses, now offices. '1852 GRANSBY'
in porches, altered C20. Knapped flint with brick dressings. Decorative
tiled roofs. Symmetrical front. 2 storeys, 4 windows. Central entrance
and flanking windows project forward under 2 gables. Porch: 4 centred
arched gauged brick head to entrance, chamfered surround, diagonally set
brick course below gable. 3-light cast iron casements with Gothic
glazing, slightly cambered heads, drip moulds. Diagonally set brick
courses at eaves and in gables. Outer bays similar, ground floor right
has C20 shopfront and entrance. 4 stacks with tall, paired, diagonally
set shafts. Right return to Station Approach. Central entrance porch,
similar but broader. Flanking windows as at front. 2 small gables with
decorative brickwork, additional bay set back to right. Left gable end:
decorative brickwork, entrance towards rear. From right return a link to
No. 12 Station Approach. Originally a symmetrical pair, similar in
details. Original ground floor now below road level but new raised
ground floor openings inserted. Original porch blocked. Entrance in
addition to right front with steeply pitched roof. Interior not
inspected. Includes Nos. 11 and 12 Station Approach.
