House. Late C17 or early C18, extended C19. Brick, slate roof.
Double-pile with extensions and converted barn to rear. 2 storeys. 5 bay
front. Central entrance: steps up to door in pilastered surround with
modillioned cornice. Glazing bar sashes with lightly moulded timber
frames. Ground floor rubbed brick heads. Rendered plinth. Plat band
separates storeys. End stacks. Gable end parapets. 2 bay return.
Interior: ground floor moulded bridging beam. Through purlin, collar
beam truss to roof. Lower separately roofed C19 extension to rear
forms a link to C18 timber framed and weatherboarded barn of 4 bays with
clasped purlin roof, queen struts to tie beams. Barn converted.
