House. Probably late C17, altered and extended mid to late C19 and C20.
Exposed timber frame with brick nogging over brick base to original
range. Brick extensions. All whitewashed or rendered. Slate and tile
roofs. Originally L-shaped with 3 bay lobby entry front. Extended and re-
roofed with gables to front. 2 storeys. Central entrance with gabled,
weatherboarded porch. Flanking C20 2 and 3 light casements. First floor
horizontal sliding sashes and central casement. 3 gables to front, that
to centre much smaller with sham timber studs. Large square central
stack on middle ridge corbelled out below original cap, extended upwards
in C19. Catslide over brick addition to left. Original rear wing to left
with external stack on rear gable. Entrance to rear on left return. C20
casements on right return. Interior not inspected.
