Stable range. Early-mid C19. Red-brown brick with pantile roof.
Rectangular on plan. Single storey, 9 bays to east side. 5 entrances
with deep segmental arches and ashlar hinge blocks: one doorway blocked,
one with single board door, remainder with board stable doors with
wrought iron strap hinges. Two pairs of segmental-headed windows
flanking doorways to left and right, with wooden slatted ventilators
beneath glazed panels (4 lights to windows on left, 3 lights to those on
right). Breather slots beneath stepped eaves, roof hipped to left. Low
single storey outhouse set back to left return, with central board door
beneath segmental arch. West side, facing Whitehall Farm, has pair of
C20 inserted garage doors. Forms west side of foldyard. Together with
adjacent barn/stable/cartshed-granary range and stable/stalls ranges
(qv) forms a good example of a post-Enclosure improved farm.
