Railway station. 1846, probably by G T Andrews for York and North Midland Railway. Red brick with stone dressings, slate roof. Single storey, 6 bays. Plinth, sill band. 6 sashes with glazing bars all under cambered gauged brick arches. The platform elevation has similar, but scattered, fenestration, with 4 boarded doors under segmental gauged brick arches. Oversailing eaves, axial stacks, hipped roof.
