8/21 Bridge Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid C18 with later C18 - early C19 rear wing. Red brick with
pantile roof. L-shaped on plan: double-depth main range with 2-room central
entrance-hall south front, stair turret and later outshuts to rear, and
later wing to rear left. 2 storeys with attic, 2 first-floor windows.
Recessed C19 panelled door beneath segmental stretcher arch, flanked by C19
3-light sliding sashes with glazing bars in flush wooden architraves. 2-
course brick first-floor band. C19 first-floor 4-pane sashes in original
flush wooden architraves with sills and segmental header arches. Stepped
and cogged brick eaves cornice. Interior contains spine beams and exposed
joists; not fully investigated.
