House. c1700, probably with earlier origins; C19 - C20 rebuilding to front.
Red brick with pantile roof. L-shaped on plan: 3-room south front with
entrance to left of centre and single-room wing to rear left. 2 storeys, 4
first-floor windows. Board door beneath cambered arch, with 3-light
casement to left beneath segmental arch, pair of small casements beneath
timber lintels and 2-light casement to right beneath segmental arch. First
floor: 2-light casement beneath cambered arch, 2 small 2-light casements to
centre and one to right beneath soldier arch. Cogged brick eaves cornice.
Brick-coped gables. End stack to right, axial stack to rear left.
Interior: heavy chamfered beams and exposed joists throughout, one beam to
right has ogee stops with pointed steps, the remainder with ogee stops;
inglenook fireplace to front left with arched bressumer; not fully
investigated. Perhaps originally timber framed.
