Farmhouse, now 2 houses. Late C17 - early C18 north range with late C19
alterations and south front; C20 internal alterations and north extension.
Early section of brown brick in English bond, later section of red brick in
Flemish bond with yellow brick dressings. Welsh slate roof. Plan: 2-room
north range with entrance in lean-to north extension; 2-room central
entrance-hall south front with projecting porch. North range: 2 storeys,
3 bays, with single-storey extension to right. Central Venetian window with
16-pane flush sash beneath lintel and blind round-headed panel with keyed
arch, flanked by blind side panels beneath lintels. 16-pane sash in flush
wooden architrave to left beneath C19 cambered brick arch, 12-pane sliding
sash to right beneath C20 lintel. First floor: similar central Venetian
window flanked by 16-pane sashes in flush wooden architraves beneath
segmental header arches. Late C19 stepped and cogged brick eaves cornice.
Original moulded stone coping to right gable with plain kneelers. Central
C19 stack with yellow brick dressings, cogged cornice and ashlar coping.
Right gable end has 2-course brick bands at mid first-floor level, blocked
attic opening. South front: 2 storeys, 3 bays, with central full-height
projecting pedimented porch. Plinth, quoins. Entrance with yellow brick
surround beneath incised stucco cambered arch; half-glazed inner door,
overlight and sidelights with margin lights. 4-pane sashes in reveals with
sills and rubbed-brick flat arches; narrow first-floor window above
entrance. Stepped and cogged brick eaves cornice, plain stone coping to
gables. Pair of stacks with cogged cornices and stone coping. Returns have
single sashes to each floor, broken pedimented gables with yellow brick
panels in tympanum. Interior of north range largely altered in C19-20; not
fully investigated.
