House and adjoining cottages. House mid C18; later C18 cottages in
2 builds. Later alterations, renovations of 1986. Brown brick to house,
red brick in English bond to cottages. Pantile roofs. Single-room house,
formerly connected with No 33 Beastfair (qv), with front to street, and row
of 3 single-room cottages to north, alongside Butle Lane, facing inner
courtyard. House: 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. Cottages: single
storey, 5 openings to courtyard. House: 6-panelled door to left beneath
segmental arch, tripartite sash to right with glazing bars beneath
elliptical arch. Pair of C20 replacement 12-pane sliding sashes to first
floor. Dentilled brick eaves cornice. C20 rebuilt brick-coped gables, that
to left adjoining No 33 Beastfair. Axial stack. Cottages; elevation to
street has pair of blocked doors, one with inserted board hatch door,
beneath segmental arches; window to left with lintel at eaves level,
boarded-up at time of resurvey. Elevation to courtyard: pair of entrances
with doors missing at time of resurvey, blocked door to left, 12-pane sash,
window with glazing missing. All openings with segmental arches. Dentilled
brick eaves cornice. Axial stack. House undergoing alteration, cottages
empty and in decay at time of resurvey. Included for group value.
