SE 82 SW LAXTON METHAM LANE

House. Early C19 with later addition. Brick in Flemish bond, stone
dressings, Westmorland slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays, that to right
narrower than the others. Entrance to left return has 6-fielded-panel door
with radial fanlight in pedimented Tuscan porch. 2 sashes with glazing bars
to left in later addition. One tall unequal 15-pane sash with shutters to
right. First floor: sashes with glazing bars of varying sizes thoughout,
that to right with shutters. Cambered channelled wedge lintels with
keystones throughout. Timber cornice. Hipped roof to each section.
Corniced stacks rising through pitch of roof. Garden front has 4 sashes
with glazing bars and shutters below cambered channelled wedge lintels with
keystones to each floor.
