Manor House and gates and
railings

House with gates and railings to front. Early C19 with later alterations.
Brick in irregular bond, pantile roof, cast-iron gate and railings. Central
hallway entry with additional cross wing to rear. 2 storeys, 5 bays, with
central bay breaking forward slightly. 6-fielded-panel door beneath
overlight in pedimented Doric doorcase. C20 four-pane fixed windows in
original openings with segmental arches throughout. End stacks. Interior:
fine open-string staircase with carved tread ends, slender turned balusters
and ramped handrail. 6-fielded-panel doors in architraves to principal
rooms. Cross beam with pyramidal stop chamfer to right reception room.
Dentilled cornice to landing. Gate and railings with ornamental finials.
Art nouveau gateposts with ball finials.
