Parish church. 1853. Rock-faced ashlar with rusticated and tooled ashlar
dressings. Welsh slate roofs. West tower with octagonal stair turret to
south-east angle, 4-bay nave with south porch and 2-bay chancel with vestry
adjoining north side. Chamfered plinth. 2-stage tower: diagonal buttresses
with offsets. Tall first stage with pointed 2-light Y-traceried west window
with hoodmould, similar window above; shouldered-arched door to stair turret
with single-light window above. Moulded string course. Belfry has banded
angle shafts, single lancets with hoodmoulds and wooden louvres, clock face
to west, dentilled moulded eaves cornice. Splay-footed octagonal spire with
plain finial and weathercock. Nave: diagonal buttresses and buttresses
between bays with offsets; lancets with hoodmoulds. Porch: pointed
chamfered outer arch with hoodmould, flanked by buttresses. Pointed
chamfered inner arch. Chancel: diagonal buttresses, lancets with
hoodmoulds, pointed 3-light east window with stepped lancets and hoodmould,
small pointed oval light above. All windows have rock-faced rusticated
jambs, tooled mullions and reveals. Dentilled eaves cornice and coped
gables throughout, with cross finials to nave and porch. Interior. Pointed
double-chamfered tower and chancel arches, with corbelled inner order and
continuous outer chamfer. 4-bay single hammer-beam nave roof with corbelled
wall posts, moulded arch braces and slender timbers. Polygonal font with
moulded shaft.
