SE 70 NW BELTON SANDTOFT

mill at Sandtoft Grange
Farm approximately
90 metres north-east of
Sandtoft Grange Farmhouse

GV II

Threshing barn and adjoining horse-mill. Early C19, with later alterations.
Brown brick with pantile roof. Barn aligned north-south with horse-mill on
east side. 2-storey barn has board door to right, central hatch, and
outline of former adjoining lower west range to left. Dentilled brick eaves
cornice, hipped roof. North gable end has inserted waggon entrance beneath
timber lintel, with board hatch door above. Single-storey horse-mill has
canted east end, wide brick piers and hipped roof. Not fully investigated.
Part of an early C19 farm complex. Included for group value.
