Farmhouse. Mid - late C18, with minor C19 alterations. Red-brown brick,
rendered to lower courses of front. Pantile roof. Double-depth plan with
2-room, central entrance-hall north front, small rooms to rear. 2 storeys
with attic, 2 first-floor windows. Plinth. Board door in original frame
beneath segmental header arch, flanked by C19 4-pane sashes in reveals with
sills beneath stucco cambered arches. Similar sashes to first floor beneath
shallower stucco flat arches. Dentilled brick eaves cornice. Stone-coped
gables with shaped kneelers. End stacks. Right return has board door to
attic with wrought-iron strap hinges. Rear, facing street, has small
original central ground-floor 4-pane window beneath segmental arch, flanked
by C19 4-pane sashes in flush wooden architraves; partly blocked original
central first-floor segmental-headed window with inserted C19 4-pane sash,
flanked by narrow 4-pane windows; cogged brick eaves cornice. Interior
largely unaltered, with heavy chamfered spine beam, exposed joists and
inglenook fireplace with timber bressumer to ground-floor left, arched
alcoves with architraves to ground-floor right, plaster upper floors; not
fully investigated. Empty and unoccupied at time of resurvey.
