3/23 Stables with dovecote
over at Gunby Hall

GV II
Stables with dovecote and hayloft over. Late C18 - early C19. Brick in
English bond, pantile roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. 3 stable doors with squatted
openings between, that to left in altered opening. Segmental arches except
to central door which has a timber lintel. First floor: pointed openings,
the outer ones slatted, the central one containing pigeon openings. There
was originally a small turret dovecote in this position. Gable coping.
Weather-vane surmounted by fox to left gable end. Stone steps to hayloft to
right gable end.
