GV II
House. Mid C18 with later alterations. Brick in English bond, pantile
roof. 3-cell plan. 2 storeys, 4 first-floor windows. Dark red brick
quoins. 4-panel door with overlight flanked by replacement 4-pane sashes in
openings recently returned to original size, with unsympathetic soldier
arches. Right bay with C20 bay window. 3-course first-floor, band. 4-pane
sashes to first floor below gauged brick flat arches. Dentilled eaves
course. Left end stack. Ridge stack between third and fourth bays.
Interior of No 43: closed-string dogleg staircase with turned balusters with
central square knops. Some original cupboard doors with H-L hinges.
