House. Late C18 with re-sited datestone of 1747 and C19 additions and
alterations. Brick in Flemish bond, replacement pantile roof. Central-
hallway entry with additional wing to rear. 2 storeys, 3 bays. 6-panel
door, upper panels fielded with toothed roll-moulding, lower 2 panels with
bolection moulding, beneath segmental fanlight with decorative lobing in
beading frame, all contained within pilastered doorcase with palm leaf
capitals supporting frieze,embellished with festoons and fleur-de-lys,and
modillioned pediment with central decorative fleur-de-lys. C19 plate-glass
sashes with vertical margin lights throughout,all below flat rubbed brick
arches. Bracketed eaves cornice. Gable coping, brick kneelers. Stacks and
datestone to rear. Rear addition fenestrated with 2 storeys of scattered
C19 12-pane Yorkshire sashes and 4-pane vertical sashes, with 20-pane sash
to ground floor. Interior: cantilevered open-string staircase with column-
on-vase balusters and carved tread ends. Front room contains 2 elliptical-
arched alcoves with fluted pilasters with festoon capitals, and panelling
below dado level.
