Farmhouse. Probably 1776 with later alterations. Red-brown brick in
Flemish bond. Concrete tiles to front, clay tiles to rear. L-shaped on
plan: 2-room, central entrance-hall south front with single-room wing to
rear left. 2 storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. Central bay breaks forward.
C19 doorcase with consoles and hood, panelled door and plain overlight in
reveal. C20 casements to both floors in original openings with sills
beneath cambered rubbed-brick arches. Stepped eaves. Corniced end stacks.
Left return: attic hatch with board door to front range, single ground- and
first-floor windows beneath segmental arches to rear wing. Attic hatch to
right return. Interior. Original features include open-well staircase with
corniced handrail and plain balusters, 6-fielded-panel doors in architraves;
not fully investigated. A contemporary dovecote to the east (qv) is dated
1776.
